Certified Personal Trainer: Part-Time
South End - $25 per hour

Lemonade Fit is looking for a part-time certified personal trainer familiar with women's health & fitness. Lemonade Fit is a women’s fitness studio located in South End Charlotte. We conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions for women of all ages, sizes, backgrounds and skill levels. This is not a bootcamp or HIIT style training facility. We focus on resistance training through the use of free weights, bodyweight and some machines to help women feel fitter, stronger and more confident!
Part-time trainer will need to have reasonable flexibility to support Lemonade Fit's small group training schedule including the potential for mornings, evenings and Saturdays. Approximately 10 hours per week to start.

This position is a good fit for a trainer who:
  • can work independently without being micromanaged
  • can be flexible with scheduling
  • is punctual 
  • is caring and empathetic
  • is motivating and pushes clients to achieve their best self
  • is knowledgeable about exercises (particularly the basics) and many of the muscle groups

This position is NOT a good fit for a trainer who:
  • is newly certified
  • has no experience working with clients in a face to face setting
  • does not have experience working with women
  • pushes clients too hard and acts as a drill sergeant
  • is not punctual 
  • is disorganized
  • does not know basic strength training exercises and/or how to execute them properly 

Must Have Qualifications:
  • Nationally recognized certification (eg: NASM, ACE, NCSF, NFPT, etc.)
  • Willing to work early mornings and some Saturdays
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands on training experience (not virtual training)
  • Eager to learn and educate
  • Excited to be part of the Lemonade Fit Community

Preferred:
  • Practical experience with women's health & fitness
  • Women’s Fitness Certification
  • Pre/Post Natal Certification
  • 4+ years in the fitness industry, specifically with personal training

Responsibilities:
  • Trainer must be punctual and arrive to the studio prior to the first session at least 5 minutes early
  • Trainer will be required to learn Lemonade Fit’s programming style and implement this process with their clients
  • Trainer must be able to provide modifications, progressions and regressions for all exercises and demonstrate these exercises. We take safety very seriously at Lemonade Fit!
  • Trainer must be able to lift at least 55 pounds and be comfortable working with the following equipment : barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, cables, TRX, body weight, Rhino Squat machine, treadmills & rowers
  • Trainer will be responsible for communicating with, scheduling, and checking in with clients
  • Trainer will be responsible for keeping the studio clean and organized
  • Trainer must be available to respond to clients in a timely manner (even on weekends)
  • Trainer should engage and connect with Lemonade Fit members
  • Trainer should have strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Trainer will work directly with the Owner to improve programming and client retention 
  • Paid training will be provided to familiarize the new trainer with Lemonade Fit protocols and processes

Must be able to commute between South End and Oakhurst to support Lemonade Fit’s needs. 

Current need: 10 hours per week. 

Pay is $18 for non-client facing hours (meetings) and partner run small group sessions.
Pay is $25 - $30/hour for solo run small group sessions.

I need someone who is willing to work fewer hours in the short term (2-4 months or so) to build up rapport with clients and get up to speed on programming and protocols. However, this will lead to long-term gain and the trainer will have the opportunity to take on more hours and responsibility.
